You're wearing the only fitting shoes for a convention 
I went to a con last weekend, too, and I saw so many cosplayers eventually walking around bare feet.
I also chose my favorite pair of pumps for the occasion...these pumps are magical: My feet hurt less after two days than they would have if I wore my sneakers.
I will never ever find a pair of pumps like that again.
